What's Happening Zachary?

Zachary got to sit at the work table and play with some of Elena's old toys. He liked being up at the table while his mommy and sister did their crafts. Miss Cathy was so happy that Zachary came to Elena's conference! She loved showing him around the room and holding the sweet baby.

Water bottles are one of Zachary's favorites. He must take after his mommy who drinks 4 bottles of bubble water a day!

Zachary can be a very quiet baby... You would think he'd get excited about his first time in the clamp chair that puts him at the table! Or excited about banging new "toys" around!

Gifts from Aunt Susan and Uncle Dennis

Aunt Susan (Nana's sister) and Uncle Dennis sent Zachary and Elena gifts in the mail! Zachary loves paper right now (the way it feels, sounds, tastes...) so he actually did a little bit of present opening! Inside he found a cute hat, mittens, and an outfit with a vest, shirt, and pants. Zachy likes the red vest! And the hat is so adorable!

Jim thinks Zachy is channeling his inner Canadian from the movie Strange Brew. Can you see the resemblance with the flannel shirt and silly hat?

Thanks Aunt Susan and Uncle Dennis! Elena especially loves the cool mittens, scarf, and shell you sent. She is having everyone listen for the ocean in the shell.

Mark and Zachy

Mark is fascinated with Zachary but the feeling isn't mutual. Mark just wanted to climb all over Zachary and grab him and hold him, but Zachy just wanted to play with his toys. At least they are closer in size now and didn't fight over who got what toy! Elena, Zachary, Terry, Mark, and Aubrie

Yes, Halloween is supposed to be over, but we still have to have our fun! Terry and Zachy try out some new hair styles. What do you think?
I'm sorry, but even if this hair does make him look like a girl he's still bloody cute! Doesn't it make you laugh out loud? Elena sure did!

Little Brother

Elena and Zachary have matching Big Sister/Little Brother shirts from Aunt Amy. Aunt Amy had them made in their likeness - Elena has long pigtails, Zachy is bald...Zachy likes being the little brother. He thinks his big sister is the best toy ever!

But dressing similar doesn't have to end there! Elena and Zachy both have pony clothes in blues and browns so we had pony day. Too bad they don't make boy clothes with poodles on them. Perhaps we'll have puppy clothing day instead...

Rai and Zachy like spending time together. Rai thinks he is tasty, and Zachy likes that Rai is black and fuzzy.

Happy First Halloween!

Zachary was very festive this Halloween. He's got his cute pumpkin hat on and two different Halloween booties (Elena couldn't decide which he should wear). He didn't wear his bat costume much because it's hot and bulky and he spent a good part of the day in the Ergo carrier and his carseat. He slept at the children's museum for most of the exhibits. He woke up during the story time show, probably because of the cackling witches that were in it... He (like his sister) really enjoyed the show.
At Jim's work he got a lot of attention. Everyone thought he was so cute and had grown so much and looked just like his daddy.

And there was time for another nap.

Next year Zachary will get to go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood - something to look forward to!

Zachary turned into a raccoon! Ooh, matching socks too?!?! Gotta love those Gymboree lines...

Other ongoings

Zachary loves his toes! Zachary likes joining Mommy on the dog walks. He has to be in the Ergo carrier on her back so she can manage the hills and 2 dogs easier.
Keep cozy out there little guy! (He is usually asleep 10 minutes into the walk.)

These are Zachary's first bites! He's eating rice cereal mixed with breast milk. Elena takes a turn too! She's a good helper and makes sure Zachary gets most of the food in his mouth (and keeps it there!).
